Filmfest 2016

Das Filmfest - Festival deutchsprachiger Filme. Every year you can visit traditional festival of films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which could be seen in Prague or Brno in Czech republic. This whole project runs under the patronage of Goethe-Institut Prag, Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague and Swiss Embassy.
Our school, especially the students studying German, annually comes to watch selected movies and learn something new. This year were films projected from 19th to 23rd of October and we were watching some of them during the first day of the festival. Different classes from our school with their teachers went to see different films. Choice of my teacher was the film called After Spring Comes Fall, so we watched this one. But there was also a new version Heidi and The Diary of Anne Frank. For schools there were prepared some films about teenagers growing up in past times but in present too.
After Spring Comes Fall is film about a woman named Mina who escapes from Syria and comes as a refugee to Berlin.  There she finds some job and for some time is sending money she made to her family, particularly for her husbands treatment who had been shotten before she ran away. But this transfering was stalked by Syrian secret service. These agents force her to work for them - Mina has to plot out information from the Syrian opposition in exile. Things go comparatively well, but then she finds out they tortured her man to death, so she kills one of the agents and that is the moment when film ended.

Most of the films are quite good, but not every time we have luck in choosing them. This time we were confused by the film. It was interesting, but hard to understand. I hope, next year we would be luckier.

On the 9 of May we celebrated the Day of Europe. Our Erasmus+ group prepared a discussion for all our students who were interested in our project with projection of all the trips to the partner countries. In the end we organized a competition in solving the puzzles with the topic of the Lisbon treaty. This activity was very succesful during the meeting in Prague among our foreign friends students as well as teachers and all our younger colleagues enjoyed it too.
